I used to tell my friend Bianca while she was in medical school,Friends don't let friends go to medical school. She was always busy. Somehow I forgot to take my own advice when it came to my husband. He was so excited and motivated to get here. I even took on the tittle of calling myself his Medical School Campaign Manager. The application process became very interesting to me. I remained in this role until I resigned in disgrace do to the nature of my relationship with Richard.
The long hours he spent studying for the MCAT was only the beginning of it all. Levi's almost 3 year old self used exclaim "Daddy all done study the OCAT". Now that Richy is in school he does a great job making the kids forget he is in school. He does not study at home, so when he is home he is home! But I still remember. The kids always get him first, which means he is exhausted by the time it is just he and I. I never knew you could miss some one so much that you live with.
I love this man more everyday.

I feel blessed that we have had many visitors to help pass the time. Recently my good friend Emily and her mom were in town. It was nice to see her. We went to the zoo!)

Emily can make me laugh like no one else can, which is probably why we have been friends for so long. It was sad to see Emily leave, I know it will be a while before I get to see her again. The day after Emily left Hillary and Scott arrived.
I showed them the things I have come to love about St. Louis, the museums, the beautiful houses, and to try and win them over ME, the vegan took them to barbeque TWICE!
I love having visitors. I have more coming in a couple weeks.
I know someone who is happy the elections are over. Before I show you this next set of pictures, let me say this is the same little girl I caught sitting on my bed this summer CLAPPING as she watched the Republican national convention by herself.

I think she has switched teams in support of Levi's second amendment right to bear arms. I am in favor of strict gun control, especially. squirt guns in the house. I am not sure what it is about sweet little boys that turns them into gun enthusiasts. The other day Levi bit his toast into the shape of a gun and started shooting Richy at breakfast.
Luckily Levi has other interests besides toy guns. Levi has been learning to read and I love it. He is a smart boy. It took Levi a full year and a half to warm up to the idea of having a little sister, Naomi on the other hand has always been smitten by Levi. Yesterday Levi said "I want to stay home and play with Naynay all day". Tempting, but no. Naomi walks around while Levi is at school and says "Levis come back". I do the same thing but I add Richard's name as well.
This past weekend in 81 degree weather the kids and I collect fall leaves for what ended in a failed art project, but the good news is I took some cute pictures.

I guess that is all I have for now, because I am too heart broken over the Beavers lose this past weekend to blog about it. Richard had to take me on a mini shopping spree to calm me down. I am that person who yells at the tv and well I will leave it at that.

  1. I am sad we didn't get to visit more and evne more bummed we didn't get ot the arch. You should go to Grant's farm> It has it all. Educational visits to former presidents' house, and then you can drive and look at the Clydesdales. You might have to pay in season to see the horses prance, but right now they're just in their pastures and you can look for free. I say check another national park off your list and go!
